Troubleshooting Your Embeds
If your Radio Cult embed isn’t looking the way you expect, don’t worry, most issues come down to a couple of simple fixes. Below, we’ll walk through the most common pitfalls and how to resolve them quickly.
1. Changes Not Showing Up After You Update Your Embed
When you adjust settings on the embed configuration page—such as colors, sizing, or player style—those changes won’t automatically update on your website.
That’s because each configuration generates a new block of HTML code. To apply the changes:
- Go to the configuration page for embed you want to update (e.g. Inline Player).
- Make your adjustments (e.g., theme, size, options).
- Copy the new HTML embed code shown at the bottom.
- Replace the old embed code on your website with this new one.
👉 Until you re-copy and paste the updated code, your website will continue to show the previous version of your player.
2. Understanding Player Display Options
Our embed lets you choose between different display options for your player. Each option changes how the player looks and what “Now Playing” information it shows:
- Event: Displays the name of the current event (i.e. show) and artwork for the associated Artist (if there is any). If no event is playing, then this mode falls back to displaying the artwork, track title, and artist name of the currently playing song.
- Metadata: Displays the artwork, track title, and artist name of the currently playing song (if available).
If the information you expect isn’t showing up, double-check the display option you’ve selected.
